Representative Director & COO

Chieko Seta is Representative Director and COO of TeamBox Inc. in Japan, a leadership development practitioner, author, and scholar-practitioner working at the intersection of adult development, vertical leadership development, unlearning, and authentic leadership. She leads leadership and organizational transformation initiatives for executives, senior managers, emerging leaders, and early-career professionals across major Japanese and global organizations.

Her work connects inner development with observable behavior, team relationships, organizational culture, and business outcomes. Drawing on adult development theory and extensive corporate practice, she helps leaders move beyond technique to examine the assumptions and identities that shape how they lead. Her approach is especially focused on self-awareness, intellectual humility, vulnerability with accountability, and the capacity to lead without relying on certainty or perfection.

Seta is also the author of the Japanese business book Perfect Leadership o Yametara, Hito to Soshiki ga Ugokidashita (When I Let Go of Perfect Leadership, People and Organizations Began to Move), published in 2026. Her current inquiry asks: What kind of human development enables leadership in an increasingly complex world?
