Harriet Wakelam is a transformation leader and creative practitioner. She works where systems need to change to better fit people’s lives. Her career has taken her across the UK, Australia and Singapore, working in climate adaptation, insurance, financial services and health. She starts by listening to people’s stories and noticing the gaps between how a system is meant to work and how it is actually lived.

Harriet uses design to connect practices and services in new ways. She has been lucky enough to lead teams of maverick thinkers delivering products and services through complexity and change.

She is also a parent and a lapsed singer. She dances too, but only when it is too dark to be seen. She will leave us with one question. If the stories we hear shape the systems we build, whose stories are we missing?
